Progress Update - June 8th 2011: An Elephant Never Forgets...TO KILL!

It's been a while since my last blog post so I thought I'd keep everyone in the loop. This last semester with school was a major punch, combined with preparing for a move I had little time, for the past three weeks my wife has had control of the computer mostly.

Now that I'm back, the wheels are moving on the zone I started out working on. I'm working with memory entries, meaning mobs will be able to remember things, the biggest example being the mob would introduce themselves the first time they meet you, and then from that point on they would omit the introduction speech and act on their normal behavior.

This concept was prompted by a Korean friend who plays League of Legends (An official game on the DoTA concept), in this game there was a girl named Annie and almost every time you clicked on her she would ask "Have you seen my bear tibbers?" He became so annoyed at this fact that he swore never to play her again.

As I mentioned earlier, I will continue to add View the Past descs to every mob I create, because every one deserves some kind of back-story. However, check some of the items too, you may find clues to things in what looks like a standard object. That's all I'm willing to say about that.

The zone is going at a decent pace, and I'll be bringing in someone to aid me in typo checking soon, since I am by no means observant of such things. I'll likely be posting something else soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
